KVPY is a national level fellowship programme which is run by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The purpose of the program is to encourage students for a career in research Science and to identify and help students with calibre and potential towards research. By doing so, the fellowship aims to ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

KVPY 2016 Eligibility Criteria

  1. The KVPY Fellowships are solely for Indian Nationals;
  2. Only applicants who are pursuing or intend to pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences i.e B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biochemistry, Statistics, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Ecology, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Physiology, Bioinformatics, Neurosciences, Geology, Marine Biology, Human Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Geophysics or Environmental Science will be considered for the award of the fellowship.

KVPY 2016 Application Form

Interested candidates should fill in the KVPY 2016 Application Form online. Detailed instructions for filling in the online form will be given on the official KVPY website and candidates are instructed to read through all the given instructions carefully before filling in their application. Candidates filling in the KVPY Application Form will be required to pay an application fee of Rs.1055/- (Rs.1000+KVAT @ 5.5%) in case they belong to the General/OBC category and Rs.528/- (Rs. 500+KVAT @ 5.5%) in case they belong to the SC/ST/PWD category.

KVPY Admit Card 2016

The admit card for candidates who have registered for the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Aptitude Test-2016 will be issued by the exam conducting body two weeks before the scheduled date of the test. Candidates who have filled in their applications online can download their admit card through the official KVPY website while the admit cards for candidates who have applied with a hard copy of the application will be sent to them individually by speed post.

KVPY 2016 Exam Pattern

The KVPY Aptitude Test will be administered in both the offline paper mode as well as the online computer based mode. Students of the SA Stream will have to attempt a total of 80 questions in the aptitude test while students of the SB/SX Stream will have to attempt a total of 120 questions. There is no syllabus prescribed as such for the written exam and the questions are mostly aimed to assess the understanding and analytical ability of students rather than their factual knowledge. Students should, however, have a grasp on all the topics of the Class X/XII/First Year Syllabus of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./M.S. as applicable.

KVPY 2016 Result

Generally, the exam conducting authority publishes the results of the KVPY Aptitude Test within a month after its completion. The KVPY 2016 Results are likely to be declared in the third week of December and will be displayed online for the immediate reference of students. Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the aptitude test will be called for an interview round. The final results will be declared after the successful completion of both the stages of selection.

Haneesh Aggarwal from Lakshya secures an All India Rank - 51 in JEE-MAINS 2016. The student was also a top scorer in CBSE class XII results with 98.20% agg. and also scored 277/360 in JEE MAINS.

 

**The All India rankings are based on a student's JEE MAIN score with 60% weightage & class XII score with 40% weightage. Admissions to BE and BTech courses in engineering institutions like NIT's, and IIIT's are made on the basis of these rankings.

The Revolution was finally revealed yesterday after, an evening of super excitement and entertainment. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of Robomate+ unveiled the Learning Management System, developed by MT Educare, after a fun-filled evening.

The evening was hosted by the suave Hussain Kuwajerwala. He started off the entertaining evening with a dance show by V Company. The boys of V Company were all over the stage with their amazing dance moves. Hussain himself performed on a couple of Bollywood songs. Other entertainers who had the crowds screaming for more were singers Mohammad Irfan, Mohit Gaur and Mansheel Gujral. Mohammad Irfan sang the songs, he has sung for various Hindi films including Baarish from the film Yaariyan. He was followed by Mohit Gaur, who sang his famous ‘cupcake’ song among others. Digvijay Singh rendered soulful numbers and ended his performance with the song ‘Badtameez Dil’ from the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Dipti Sharma and Suraj Biswas also had the audience tapping to their numbers. Antara Mitra gave a splendid performance and had the audience on their feet with numbers like Duma Dum Mast Kalandar and Balam Pichkari from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Finally, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan took the stage to unveil the Robomate+ app. Before the actual launch, Mr. Bachchan remembered his own days of school and studying and advised the students that “Education is an investment which gives dividend till the end of life.” Talking of how other material gains in life are short lived he said, “Money, anyone can steal, but knowledge can never be stolen from you.” He urged the students to “Never stop learning because learning never stops,” and emphasized the necessity to educate women and children.

Applauding the efforts made by MT Educare towards the profession of teaching he said that MT Educare has brought back the system of Gurukuls. It is now easy to have guidance from a teacher anywhere anytime and MT Educare’s efforts are unparalleled in this area.

He finally unveiled the app in the most innovative way. His movements were replicated on screen using augmented reality, showcasing the finer points of the app. Mr. Bachchan also enjoyed himself during the demonstration.

Mr. Bachchan introduced Robomate+ as the world’s first curriculum based study app that will not only provide lectures from expert teachers, but also assesses students with objective type tests. The test results are sent to the teacher who can work on improving the students’ weaknesses.

At the end of the evening Mr. Mahesh Shetty, Chairman, MT Educare, and Dr. Chhaya Shastri, Director, joined Mr. Bachchan on stage to launch Robomate+.
